England ended their Women's World Cup 2025 group stage on a high, defeating New Zealand by eight wickets and 124 balls to spare in Match 27 at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on October 26.

Opting to bat first, the White Ferns got off to a solid start despite losing Suzie Bates midway through the sixth over. They lost momentum as Amelia Kerr (35 off 43) and Georgia Plimmer (43 off 57) fell on consecutive deliveries. New Zealand suffered a massive collapse from there as they lost their last five wickets for only 13 runs. Linsey Smith (3/30 in 9.2 overs) was the pick of the bowlers for England.
