With this result, the series ended with a 2-2 scoreline and India ended up retaining the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. Yashasvi Jaiswal's 118-run ton powered India to a substantial 396. Josh Tongue (5/125 in 30 overs) ended up with a five-wicket haul, leaving them to chase 374 to clinch the series.

A 195-run stand between Joe Root (105 off 152) and Harry Brook (111 off 98) almost assured England the win. However, the pace-bowling duo of Siraj (5/104 in 30.1 overs) and Prasidh Krishna (4/126 in 27 overs) powered India to a famous win, as the thrilling series ended in a draw.
