How did the 2nd T20I between Zimbabwe and India go? - Review, Turning Points & more
India under Shreyas Iyer have finally won their first series on the road after securing a 90-run victory over hosts Zimbabwe at the Harare Sports Club on Saturday, July 25. The win means that the Men in Blue have secured an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.
Having been put into bat, India scored 219 from 20 overs, thanks to Ishan Kishan and Tilak Varma's half-centuries. The Mumbai Indians star remained unbeaten in the end to help his side get to a winning total. Meanwhile, as many as five Zimbabwe bowlers took one wicket each.
In reply, Zimbabwe were bundled out for just 129, losing the tie by a massive margin. The hosts were given a positive start by opening batter Brian Bennett, but they kept on losing wickets at regular intervals. Abhishek Sharma, Prince Yadav and debutant Yash Thakur all took multiple wickets to restrict the opposition in the second game.
Top batting performance of the match: Ishan Kishan
Kishan finally returned to some good form after scoring 81 off 44 balls in the first innings to help India put up a total greater than 200. Hitting at a strike-rate of 184.09, the left-handed batter smashed nine fours and two sixes to dominate the middle overs after the Men in Blue lost Abhishek Sharma and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi early.
Top bowling performance of the match: Abhishek Sharma
Time after time, Abhishek Sharma has been included amongst the best batters, but today he won India the game with his part-time spin. The 25-year-old claimed three wickets whilst conceding just 17 runs from 2.5 overs. He took the important scalp of Brad Evans, who was looking threatening towards the end of the innings.
Records Broken and Major Milestones Achieved

Who won the Player of the Match award?
Kishan was named Player of the Match after his solid contribution with the bat. It was vital for the left-handed batter to score runs due to the top order once again failing to deliver in the opening stages of the first innings.
