Zimbabwe have announced their squad for the one-off Test match against England, which is scheduled to begin on May 22 at Trent Bridge in Nottingham. Zimbabwe recently drew their two-match Test series against Bangladesh and will be travelling to the English soil on a positive note, filled with confidence.

The confidence will grow a bit more since star all-rounder Sikandar Raza has made his return to the Test setup after missing the Bangladesh tour due to his PSL 2025 commitments. The experienced batter has played 18 Test matches by scoring 1,286 runs and claimed 38 wickets. The ace cricketer's presence will add depth to the Zimbabwean line up.

The left-arm pacer Newman Takudzwa Nyamhuri also joined in the squad to bring in some swing because of the English conditions. The wicketkeeper-batter Clive Madande, who made his Test debut against Ireland and has also been named in the squad.

The top-order batter Ben Curran has also found a place in the squad, who was born in Northampton. The batter’s brothers Tom Curran and Sam Curran are both England internationals and will now face off against his birth nation wearing the away jersey.

The England squad was announced earlier with Ben Stokes leading the team and will have an experienced side with the exception of two uncapped players, Jordan Cox and Sam Cook. This match, which is set to be a four-day affair, will not be part of the World Test Championship cycle since the visitors aren't eligible as per their rankings. The hosts team will mainly focus on their upcoming five-match Test series against India in June and later for the Ashes.
