Delhi Capitals will host five-time champions Mumbai Indians in the 16th match of IPL 2023 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Tuesday, April 11. The two teams are the only sides to be without a victory in this year's tournament so far. While Delhi Capitals have failed to register a win in all three fixtures so far, Mumbai Indians head into the contest on the back of two successive defeats.

Rishabh Pant's absence was always going to be a big factor for the Delhi-based outfit, but their continued failure with the bat have raised a few question marks about their tactics. Delhi have been completely outplayed in all three of their matches so far, with Delhi Capitals' co-owner, Parth Jindal, questioning his team's intent with the bat.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma's Mumbai Indians are renowned for being slow starters in the tournament. However, much like their upcoming opponents, they are also plagued with inconsistencies with the bat and are expecting a better application from the batters, especially from the overseas stars.

Star English pacer Jofra Archer is likely to return for the game against Delhi after missing the previous encounter as Rohit Sharma's side look to register their first win of the tournament in IPL 2023.

While the surface in Delhi is expected to be a batter's friend, there is a bit of zip on offer for the pacers as seen in the previous encounter. The team winning the toss would prefer to bowl first on this surface as dew might play a factor later in the match.
