NZ vs IND 2026: 2nd ODI Match Preview
The series opener saw India win courtesy of a brilliant bowling performance and chasemaster Virat Kohli's class.
The upcoming second ODI between New Zealand (NZ) and India (IND) will be played on Saturday, November 07 as the Hnry Stadium in Wellington is all set to host this mouthwatering clash between two of the toughest competitors in 50-over cricket. The Shubman Gill-led side is currently leading the series, having won the opening clash by five wickets.
New Zealand would have wanted to put up a much better show with the bat, but the way they fell prey to the opposition's lethal bowling attack cost them the match in the first ODI. The Mitchell Santner-led side, however, knows that they are a much better team and that a solitary loss cannot define them. With an aim to make the series 1-1, the hosts would want to put up a show on Saturday.
India, on the other hand, saw their inexperienced bowlers turn up to the occasion and delivered impressive spells to contain the BlackCaps to a meagre total in the Auckland fixture. They first bundled the hosts out for merely 185 in the first innings and followed it up by making a mockery of the run chase, going past the DLS-shortened target with 56 balls to spare.

Hnry Stadium, Wellington: Pitch Report
Batting first at the Hnry Stadium in Wellington is likely to be the wise choice for the second ODI between New Zealand and India. In the last four games played at the venue, three have been won by the teams defending the total. Bowlers and batters are likely to have an equal say in the contest, but the pitch will be more helpful for pacers, offering extra bounce and carry throughout the contest.
