T20I Tri-Series 2025: New Zealand vs South Africa Match Preview, 5th T20I
The Kiwis are yet to lose a game in the ongoing tournament so far.
The fifth T20I of the Zimbabwe T20I Tri-Series 2025 will be played between New Zealand and South Africa at the Harare Sports Club on July 22.
New Zealand have emerged victorious in both their games so far. In their first game against South Africa, a century stand between Tim Robinson (75* off 57) and Bevon Jacobs (44* off 30) propelled the Kiwis to 173/5 before Jacob Duffy (3/20 in four overs) starred with the ball for New Zealand to win by 21 runs.
Their second match against Zimbabwe was a comparatively easier contest. Matt Henry's three-wicket haul limited the hosts to 120/7 after 20 overs. Devon Conway later registered a half-century (59* off 40) to take his team home.
Both of the Proteas' wins have come against Zimbabwe as they won the series opener by five and the next one seven wickets. George Linde (3/10) was superb in the first match. A crucial stand between Rubin Hermann and Dewald Brevis saw South Africa home.
Hermann played yet another blistering knock (63 off 36) in his team's second match against Zimbabwe to grant yet another win for South Africa against their neighbours. Skipper Rassie van der Dussen also found form with a solid 41-ball 52*.
