England and India Women will be looking to continue their winning momentum in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2023 ahead of the 14th match at St George's Park in Port Elizabeth on Saturday (February 17). Both teams have won their opening two matches in Group B and are competing for the top spot. With Pakistan also challenging for the semi-final spot, this match will be crucial for all three teams.

England beat the West Indies in the opening match with a dominant performance while chasing 136 runs. They replicated the same performance against Ireland in their second game with a four-wicket win while chasing 106 runs. Y

oungster Alice Capsey smashed 51 off 22 against Ireland in the last game while the other batters struggled. But the star spin duo of Sophie Ecclestone and Sarah Glenn, with three wickets each against their neighbours, have been top of their game in the tournament.

India's early performances put them as strong contenders for the World Cup title. They recorded a crucial thrilling seven-wicket win against Pakistan while chasing 150 runs in their opening game. Indian team further improved with a six-wicket win against West Indies in its following game while chasing 119 runs.

Deepti Sharma, who became India's first bowler to take 100 T20I wickets during her three-wicket spell in the last match, has taken four wickets in the tournament so far. Young wicketkeeper-batter Richa Ghosh is leading the scoring chart for India with 75 runs from two unbeaten innings in the tournament.

England beat India by 2-1 in T20Is at home when both teams last faced each other in September 2022 in a bilateral series. England have dominant numbers in head-to-head records against India in T20Is with 19 wins from 26 games so far.
