The ongoing season of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) has been as exciting as one can hope for. The quiz show gives the people a chance to win hefty amounts and in the ongoing season, a number of participants have hit the jackpots. As many as four persons have touched the Crore mark this year. The latest person to win 1 Crore is Ajeet Kumar.

Hailing from Bihar, Ajeet’s performance in the show was quite impressive and he was duly rewarded for it. He had the chance of winning Rs 7 crore and become the first contestant to do so this season but decided to skip it. And more than anyone, the cricket fans would have felt bad for him since the question was related to the game.

Talking about Ajeet, he works as a jail superintendent and has been working for Indian Railways for over 15 years. He aims to become a Deputy Inspector General for which he will have to serve more than 2 years in sub-jail and 7 to 8 years in district jail.

A 7-crore cricket-related question on KBC

Ajeet Kumar won Rs 1 crore after answering which was the first British satellite to have been launched successfully by a British rocket? He won Rs 1 crore by answering Prospero, which was the first British satellite to have been launched. Ajeet used the 50-50 lifeline for this question and after thinking over it a lot, gave the correct answer.

The next and final question for Rs 7 crore was: “Who is the first cricketer to score two T20 International fifties on the same day in two different matches?” The four options were Nawroz Mangal, Mohammad Hafeez, Mohammad Shahzad and Shakib Al Hasan.

The answer was Mohammad Shahzad. The Afghanistan batsman had scored fifties against Oman and Ireland on a single day. However, Ajeet did not know the answer and decided against taking any risk. He quit the show since he did not have any lifelines left. Amitabh Bachchan, who is the host of the show, asked him to take a guess but he was wrong again. But Ajeet was absolutely delighted with the amount he won and left the stage with a big smile on his face.
