Dallas Lonestars CC continued their impressive run in the National Cricket League (NCL) T10 2025, securing a comfortable seven-wicket victory over Los Angeles Waves CC at the University of Texas, Dallas on Tuesday, October 7. With this result, the Dallas Lonestars CC extended their unbeaten streak and strengthened their position at the top of the points table.
Los Angeles Waves CC skipper George Munsey won the toss and chose to bat first. However, his team struggled to build partnerships throughout the innings as wickets kept falling at regular intervals. None of the batters could convert their starts into meaningful scores, resulting in a modest total.
The Los Angeles Waves CC managed to reach 58 for 8 in 10 overs, with Guranshu Sharma top-scoring with 14 runs, while wicketkeeper-batter Sheldon Jackson added 13 runs. The Dallas Lonestars’ bowlers maintained tight lines and lengths, not allowing the opposition to find momentum. Naqash Basharat led the bowling attack with impressive figures of 2 for 11, while Samit Patel, Paul van Meekeren, and Rishi Ramesh chipped in with one wicket each to keep the pressure on.
In response, Dallas Lonestars CC made light work of the chase, reaching 63 for 3 in just 7.4 overs. The opener Aaron Johnson was the star of the innings, smashing an unbeaten 42 off 21 balls, which included three fours and four sixes. While the other batters contributed minimally, Johnson’s explosive knock single-handedly steered his team to victory.
For Los Angeles Waves CC, Amshi de Silva, Oliver Davidson, and Timil Patel each claimed a wicket. However, their bowlers received little support from the batters, whose underwhelming performance proved costly.
With this win, Dallas Lonestars CC remain top of the NCL T10 2025 standings with two wins from two matches and a strong Net Run Rate (NRR) of 3.93. Meanwhile, Los Angeles Waves CC slipped to fifth place, managing only one win from three games. Dallas Lonestars CC will next face New York Lions CC on October 8, while Los Angeles Waves CC will play Atlanta Kings CC on October 10.
