Courtesy of Reeza Hendricks (85 off 75) and Heinrich Klaasen's match-winning knocks (109 off 67) helped South Africa post a huge total of 399/7, followed by a clinical bowling display that helped them beat England by 229 runs in the 20th match of the ongoing ODI World Cup.

England won the toss and opted to field first in the 20th match of the ODI Cricket World Cup 2023 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. South Africa lost Quinton de Kock early for 4 runs, but Reeza Hendricks and Rassie van der Dussen put on a 121-run partnership for the second wicket. Van der Dussen was dismissed by Adil Rashid for 60, but Hendricks continued to score freely and reached 85 before being dismissed by Rashid again. 

Heinrich Klaasen then came in and played a blistering innings of 109 runs off just 67 balls, including 12 fours and 4 sixes. He was well supported by Marco Jansen, who scored a quick 75* runs off 42 balls. South Africa eventually finished their innings on 399/7. Adil Rashid was the pick of the England bowlers for his spell of 2/61 in 10 overs

In response to South Africa's 399/7, England were bowled out for 170. Mark Wood top-scored with 43 and Gus Atkinson scored 35. The rest of the England batting collapsed, and South Africa eventually won by 229 runs. Heinrich Klaasen won the Player of the Match award for his brilliant knock of 109 off 67 balls.
