After sealing the series last time out in Raipur, Team India now faces Australia in the fifth and final T20I match of the series. The encounter is scheduled to take place on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, in Bangalore. Suryakumar Yadav and his side have already clinched the series 3-1 with victories in the opening two fixtures and the fourth game.

Speaking about the Raipur T20I, Rinku Singh top-scored for his team with his knock of 46 off 29. Openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad also contributed with their innings of 37 and 32 runs, respectively. Wicketkeeper batter Jitesh Sharma also played a valuable knock of 35 off 19 as India posted a total of 174/9 on the board.

In reply, Travis Head yet again gave his side a blazing start with his cameo of 31 off 16. The rest of the batting line-up failed to contribute much as the Aussies kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Axar Patel was the star performer with the ball for India as he delivered a solid spell of 3/16 in his four-over spell. Captain Matthew Wade remained not out on 36 but couldn’t take his side home. The recently-crowned World Cup champions will look to sign off the India tour on a high by claiming a win to make it 3-2.
