David Warner’s Delhi Capitals (DC) will locks horns with Nitish Rana’s Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Match 28 of IPL 2023 on April 20 at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
Nothing has gone right for the Delhi-based franchise as they have made a horrendous start to their current campaign with five consecutive losses. The Capitals lost their opener against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) before coming second-best against reigning champions Gujarat Titans (GT). Warner’s side’s next three defeats came against Rajasthan Royals (RR), Mumbai Indians (MI), and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) respecitvely. With no points and a negative net run rate of 1.488, they are placed in the tenth position in the table.
On the other hand, KKR began their season with a loss against Punjab Kings (PBKS) before registering back-to-back wins against RCB and GT. Rana’s team then lost against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and MI in their last two matches. With four points and an NRR of +0.320, they are positioned seventh in the table. (stats until match 25). The Capitals will finally look to get off the mark by securing their maiden victory of this season.
