Reigning champions Gujarat Titans (GT) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) go toe-to-toe in Match 62 of IPL 2023 on Monday, May 15 at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. This will be the first and only meeting of these two sides in the league phase of the ongoing edition.
Hardik Pandya’s GT has played like a competitive side this campaign as they have appeared in 12 matches so far with eight victories and just four defeats. With 16 points and a positive net run rate of 0.761, they are bossing the table right at the top. Meanwhile, it’s been another disappointing edition for the Orange Army as they have played 11 games with just four wins and seven defeats.
With eight points and an NRR of -0.471, they are languishing down at the ninth position, just above Delhi Capitals (DC) in the table. (All standings till match No. 60). The Sunrisers can reach max a total of 14 points and for that, they have to win all of their remaining three encounters. Both teams are coming on the back of defeats in their respective matches as GT looks to fix their position in the top two while SRH eye a win in a do-or-die clash.
