Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will take on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in match 39 of the 17th edition of the IPL 2024 on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at the MA Chidambaram Cricket Stadium, in Chennai. In the ongoing tournament, the Kings have won four matches and lost three matches so far. They are currently in third place in the points table, thus, the Kings would like to come back to their winning momentum. On the other hand, the Super Giants also have won four matches and lost three matches so far. They are currently in fifth place in the points table.

Thus, the Super Giants would like to continue their winning momentum. Super Kings would like to take revenge for the last match of these two teams held in Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow. This will be an important game for both teams with respect to the future of the tournament.

Speaking about the last game of Super Kings, after the top order collapse, Ravindra Jadeja 57(40) played a superb innings that helped the Super Kings to post a decent total. Ajinkya Rahane 36(24) played superb innings but failed to convert a good start into a huge Innings. In the end, MS Dhoni 28*(9) smashed and played fantastic finishing innings which helped the Super Kings to post a decent total of 176. Speaking about the bowlers, Matheesha Pathirana (4-0-29-1) bowled beautifully which helped Super Kings to drag the game till the 19th over. But he didn't get support from other bowlers. The Super Kings will hope all these players continue their good form and also they get good support from other bowlers.

Speaking about the last game of the Super Giants, KL Rahul 82(53) played magnificent innings in the slow two-paced wicket that helped the Super Giants to chase a decent total with one over left. Quinton De Kock 54(43) played superb innings and played second fiddle to KL Rahul. These two stitched a fantastic partnership of 134 off just 90 deliveries which is the highest partnership for any wicket in IPL 2024.

Speaking about bowling, Krunal Pandya (3-0-16-2) was excellent and economical and bowled beautifully which helped Super Giants restrict CSK for a decent total of 176. Marcus Stionis (2-0-7-1) bowled fantastically and gave excellent support to Krunal. They got good support from other bowlers as well. The Super Giants will hope all these players continue their good form.
