Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will take on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in match 54 of the 17th edition of the IPL 2024 on Sunday, May 5, 2024, at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, in Lucknow. In the ongoing tournament, the Super Giants have won six matches and lost four so far. They are currently third in the points table, thus, the Super Giants would like to continue their winning momentum.

On the other hand, the Knight Riders have won seven matches and lost three so far. They are currently second in the points table, thus, the Knight Riders also would like to continue their winning momentum. Super Giants would like to take revenge for the last match of these two teams held at Eden Gardens Stadium, Kolkata. This will be an important game for both teams concerning their future in the tournament.

After the early collapse, Manish Pandey 42(31), who came as an Impact Player, played an impactful knock, giving excellent support to Venkatesh Iyer. Speaking of the bowling of Knight Riders, Mitchell Starc (3.5-0-33-4) who came back to form after a poor start in the tournament bowled beautifully, helping Knight Riders defend the under-par total against Mumbai Indians. Spin twins Sunil Narine (4-0-22-2) and Varun Chakravarthy (4-0-22-2) also bowled superbly and gave excellent support to Mitchell Starc. Knight Riders also got good support from all other bowlers, as a result of which they defended an under a par total. Knight Riders will be hoping all these will continue their good form.
