IPL 2026: RCB vs GT, Match 34: Stats Review of player records and achieved milestones
The defending champions end their Bengaluru leg of IPL 2026 with a five-wicket victory.
The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) beat the Gujarat Titans (GT) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Match 34 of the 2026 Indian Premier League by five wickets.
Being put into bat, the Titans reached a commendable score of 205/43 in their 20 overs, courtesy of a masterful century by opener Sai Sudharsan. He was the aggressor from the get-go, stitching a 76-ball 128-run opening stand with captain Shubman Gill, scoring 92 runs of the partnership. Sudharsan fell to Hazlewood right after making his century, after which Jos Buttler also fell, denting the progress in the end. A last over flourish from Jason Holder took the Titans past the 200-run mark.
The chase started with Washington Sundar dropping Virat Kohli in the third ball of the innings of Mohammed Siraj’s bowling, and the talismanic batter made sure to make the Titans pay for their slip-up. He was at his belligerent best,m scoring 81 off 44 balls, and stitching a 115-run stand off 59 balls with Devdutt Padikkal, who scored 55 off 27 balls. The defending champions lost their way in the chase, with the Titans picking up four wickets in quick succession, but Krunal Pandya held his nerve with an unbeaten 12-ball 23 to lead them home with seven balls to spare.
The Royal Challengers complete their Bengaluru leg of the 2026 League Stage in fine fashion with an emphatic victory. They have won four out of the five games played at the M.
