Sunrisers Hyderabad secured a thrilling 10-run victory over Chennai Super Kings in Match No. 27 of the Indian Premier League 2026 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.

Batting first, SRH posted a strong total of 194/9 in their 20 overs, thanks largely to explosive knocks from Abhishek Sharma and Heinrich Klaasen. Abhishek set the tone with a blistering 59 off just 22 balls, smashing six fours and four sixes at a staggering strike rate of 268.18. Klaasen then anchored the innings with a well-crafted 59 off 39 balls, ensuring SRH maintained momentum despite losing wickets at regular intervals. For CSK, Jamie Overton and Anshul Kamboj picked up three wickets each to keep the hosts from running away with the game.

In reply, CSK fought hard but fell short at 184/8 in their 20 overs. Ayush Mhatre provided a fiery start with 30 off just 13 balls, while Matthew Short (34 off 30) and Sarfaraz Khan (25 off 19) kept the chase alive in the middle overs. However, regular wickets halted their progress.

Hyderabad's bowlers held their nerve in the crucial phases, with Eshan Malinga emerging as the standout performer with three wickets for only 29 runs in his four-over spell. Nitish Kumar Reddy chipped in with two key wickets as well, including the important dismissal of Mhatre, to put the opposition under immense pressure.

Despite a late push from the lower order, CSK couldn’t get over the line as SRH closed out a hard-fought win.
