Each team heads into the match with a much-needed morale boost, having won their most recent game. MI snapped DC's four-match winning streak. Led by Tilak Varma's fifty and cameos from other batters, MI posted a respectable 205. DC suffered an early blow, but their Impact Player, Karun Nair, delivered a memorable batting performance. When he was dismissed, DC were in a very strong position, but MI’s Impact Player, Karn Sharma, triggered a middle-order collapse. The chase ended in dramatic fashion with three run-outs in three balls, as DC squandered a promising position.

SRH, meanwhile, reminded fans of their batting firepower with a dominant win over Punjab Kings in Hyderabad. Shreyas Iyer’s swashbuckling 82, supported by quick-fire cameos from his teammates, helped PBKS post an intimidating 245. In reply, Abhishek Sharma returned to his best with a chance-filled 141, while Travis Head gave him ideal support. SRH completed the second-highest successful chase in IPL history, finishing the job with an over and a half to spare.
