England (ENG) and Pakistan (PAK) will meet each other in match No. 44 of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata on November 11, 2023.

England will come on the back of a convincing win over the Netherlands in their last game. They did lose five matches on the trot but had to come good to earn a place in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Dawid Malan has been their go-to batter in the ongoing World Cup 2023, scoring 373 runs at an average of 46.62 while Ben Stokes has aggregated 220 runs at an average of 44.

In the bowling department, Adil Rashid has been their pick of bowlers as he picked up 13 wickets while Chris Woakes and David Willey have picked up nine and eight wickets respectively. England will look to carry their winning run to ensure they get selected for the Champions Trophy.

Pakistan, on the other hand, came into the game on the back of two victories one convincing against Bangladesh and another courtesy of Fakhar Zaman’s masterclass, not to forget the solidity shown by Babar Azam. Pakistan now need a big win to get into the semi-finals.

Mohammad Rizwan and Abdullah Shafique have scored 359 and 336 runs at an average of 71.80 and 48 respectively while in the bowling department, Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf have picked up 16 and 13 wickets respectively. Pakistan too would look to carry the winning run going.

X-Factors in England vs Pakistan:

England: Dawid Malan

Dawid Malan has been in sublime form for England scoring 373 runs in eight games at an average of over 46, he is the only player to score over 300 runs for England in the ongoing World Cup and his start will be the key for England against Pakistan.

Pakistan: Fakhar Zaman

With a fifty-century in the last two games, all hopes in the Pakistan dressing room are now highly dependent on Fakhar Zaman, his century against New Zealand was the intent that was highly missing in an ordinary Pakistan camp. He would be the X-factor for Pakistan in their last game.
