Wiaan Mulder remained unbeaten on 264 at stumps of the first day of the ongoing Test against Zimbabwe.
Wiaan Mulder scored 246 out of the 465 which South Africa posted on Day 1 of the second Test against Zimbabwe. The brilliant batting display of batting by the South Africa all-rounder has clubbed him alongside Test legends.
Mulder, whose unbeaten knock came off just 259 deliveries, surpassed several greats across various lists. He stands sixth in the list of the most runs scored by a batter in a single day in Test cricket.

Mulder hit 34 fours and three sixes until stumpa. Serving as the standby skipper of South Africa in place of Keshav Maharaj, it will be intriguing to see when he opts on declaring the innings to have a shot at the hosts with the ball.
David Bedingham (82 off 101) and Lhuan-dre Pretorius (78 off 87), who contributed with vital scores, could not convert it into centuries. Resuming the second day's play alongside Mulder will be Dewald Brevis, who is currently unbeaten on 15 off 16.
Tanaka Chivanga (2/85 in 18 overs), the pick of the Zimbabwean bowlers from the first game, secured a couple of wickets in his 18 overs. Wellington Masakadza (1/152 in 28 overs) and Kundai Matigimu (1/77 in 13.3 overs) picked up one apiece.
