Stats: Smriti Mandhana joins Mithali Raj in elite list after smashing century in Tri-series final against Sri Lanka

She became only the second Indian woman to score an ODI century in Sri Lanka after former skipper Mithali Raj.

Smriti Mandhana continued her upward trajectory in ODI cricket after registering her 11th ton during the final of the Tri-Nation ODI Series 2025 against Sri Lanka Women at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Sunday, May 11. Smriti ascended to the third position in the all-time list for ODI tons in women's cricket, courtesy of a swift 116-run knock off 101 deliveries. Furthermore, she became only the second Indian woman to score an ODI century in Sri Lanka after former skipper Mithali Raj

Smriti was dismissed on the fifth ball of the 33rd over after an innings which comprised 15 fours and two sixes. She set India Women an amazing foundation to carry on the flow of runs. Her side ended up posting 342/7 in their allotted quota after opting to bat first. Smriti was the only player from the Indian setup to rack up a score northwards of 50.

Speaking of the current game, Harleen Deol (47 off 56), Harmanpreet Kaur (41 off 30), and Jemimah Rodrigues (44 off 29) contributed with the bat too. Contributions from Amanjot Kaur (18 off 12) and Deepti Sharma (20* off 14) helped the team get to aforementioned total. All of Malki Madara, Dewmi Vihanga, and Sugandika Kumari picked up two-wicket hauls each.

The two sides won a game each against each other in the ongoing series ahead of the summit clash. India won the series opener by a dominant nine-wicket margin with 56 balls to spare while the hosts won the second meeting by three wickets with five balls remaining.

India and Sri Lanka finished first and second on the points table, respectively.
