Cricketers share Eid-ul-Fitr wishes via social media

Eid is a widely celebrated festival across the globe. Billions of Muslims across the world joyously await the sight of the crescent moon to break their final fast. A major part is celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr today, which marks the ending of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan. While it will be celebrated in India on 7th of July.

It’s a common trend these days that celebrities switch to social platforms to wish their fans and followers on auspicious occasions. Cricketers on this occasion stepped up to convey their best wishes to their Muslim friends and followers.

Yusuf Pathan sent across wishes with a picture with his brother Irfan Pathan. “Eid Mubarak to everyone who is celebrating Eid today. May your lives be filled with joy and happiness,”

David Hussey of Australia wished everyone with special mentions to Fawad Ahmed and Ajmal Shahzad, who he mentioned as two of his favorites. “Eid Mubarak to all Muslim friends around the world, especially to my favourites @AJShahzad and @bachaji23,”

and Ajmal Shahzad responded back to Hussey offering him a ‘chicken biriyani’. He wrote: “@DavidHussey29 thanks big lad! I’ll get a chicken biriyani send over to you special delivery with a few onion bhajis #davelovesadish”
