Cricketing fraternity sends in their wishes on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr

The whole world is celebrating the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr which marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting. India is a land of Unity in Diversity as they celebrate almost all the festivals with the same enthusiasm and it is no different during the Eid as well. A few cricketers among the fraternity are Muslims as they spent the time with their family on a special day for them. However, the cricketing world sent in their wishes to their fans on Twitter as there was happiness in the air throughout the day on social media as well.

Eid-ul-Fitr is a religious holiday as the Muslims worldwide celebrate the conclusion of dawn to Sunset fasting for almost 30 days during the entire month of Ramadan. During this month, the people have their food before the dawn which is called Suhoor and then fast for the whole day. They only eat the food after the sunset which is referred to as Iftar.

Cricketers pour in their wishes

The cricketers all were the world were busy wishing their compatriots and the fans. Irfan Pathan dedicated the festive occasion to his fans and went on to say that it is them who make the festival enjoyable as he tweeted, “It’s you all the ppl who make the festival Enjoyable so thank u for being part of the Eid celebration #shotoniphonex portrait mode.”

Even the foreign cricketers are aware of the festivals celebrated these days and the likes of Matthew Hayden, Alan Wilkins, Danielle Wyatt and Sarah Taylor also wished everyone. Despite the fact that the relationship between India and Pakistan across the border are not good, the cricketers enjoy a special camaraderie.

The same was witnessed again on social media today as Suresh Raina termed Mohammad Amir as ‘Bhai Jaan‘ in his wish for the cricketer as the cricketers from both the cricketers showed their unity on Twitter.
