The cricketing trends on the social media revolved around a number of events. Yesterday, all the franchises in the Indian Premier League (IPL) put forth their list of released and retained players. Kedar Jadhav and Deepak Chahar have been retained by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and the duo expressed its gratitude to the franchise. Prithvi Shaw was retained by Delhi Daredevils (DD) and even he thanked his team.

The Indian Women’s team has won three matches in succession and has already qualified for the semi-finals of 2018 ICC Women’s World T20 in the West Indies. They beat the likes of New Zealand, Pakistan and Ireland, and would now face Australia in their final Group B match. In the meantime, the likes of Shikhar Dhawan and Ravichandran Ashwin wished the team luck before the knock-out phases.

Joe Root scored a masterful century against Sri Lanka in the second Test in Pallekele and Virender Sehwag, the former Indian cricketer, praised the English skipper for the masterful knock. Cricketer turned commentator Aakash Chopra shared a video where he was seen trying the helicopter shot, which was popularised by MS Dhoni, the Indian wicketkeeper-batsman.
