Cricketing trends in Twitter today began with Dale Steyn inviting one and all to his swansong match at Cardiff for Glamorgan. His teammate Vernon Philander, however, spent the day returning the wishes on his birthday.

The big news of the day, however, was the referendum stating that England would pull out of the EU, triggering the BREXIT controversy. Although it was more than welcome by Kevin Pietersen, the likes of James Taylor and Ravi Ashwin condemned it.

The other big news included the appointment of Anil Kumble as India coach. Mohammad Azharuddin was one of the few to congratulate Kumble on his success and appointment. That said, here are some of the best tweets in this edition of Cricketing trends in Twitter today.
