Cricketing trends in Twitter today saw cricketers sharing snippets of the New Year’s bash they had last night. The happiness and enjoyment were palpable last night as the stars waited for the clock to tick 12 am. And, when it did, they all celebrated it in a grand way as expected. Jamaican superstar and party animal Chris Gayle was leading the way as usual.
While most of the others apart from the Universe Boss were rocking the dance floor, English legend Sir Ian Botham decided to welcome 2017 by being around nature. He was at the Isle of Skype and shared a selfie of the picturesque surrounding at the venue. Virender Sehwag chose to stay indoors and avoid the noisy celebrations. The city of Melbourne also celebrated the new year by turning up in huge numbers for the Melbourne derby in the BBL 2016/17 between the Stars and the Renegades.
But, he was unable to escape the technology as a total of 324 messages bombarded his Whatsapp prompting him to share the snapshot with his followers. Rohit Sharma and Indian test skipper Virat Kohli also had special messages for their fans. Ravichandran Ashwin tried to be different and instead of the plain ‘Happy New Year’ greeting he chose to create a bit of awareness among his fans, trying to make them better humans.
