Cricketing trends in twitter today saw tweets coming in from all over the world. Twitteratti were excited and posted congratulatory tweets to triple centurion Karun Nair. Playing in only his 3rd Test Karun Nair went on to become the 2nd Indian after Virender Sehwag to score a triple century. It was an exceptional batting display by the youngster and he was congratulated by the whole cricketing fraternity.
Another youngster Asad Shafiq was also lauded by former cricketers for his fighting century against Australia at the Gabba. Chasing an unrealistic 490 to win, Shafiq almost pulled off an incredible win for Pakistan who was very well supported by the tail enders.
Out of favour Indian opener, Gautam Gambhir felt motivated on a Monday afternoon, while Sachin Tendulkar consoled his team Kerala Blasters for narrowly losing the ISL final to Sourav Ganguly’s Atletico de Kolkata in the penalty shoot outs. Shahid Afridi experienced traveling on a train in Pakistan after 24 years. While Mahela Jayawardena urged everyone to join the Trail Walk in Sydney, Virender Sehwag wished former Aussie captain on his birthday in his own witty style.
