The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of events. Former Australian cricketer Damien Martyn had a good time while being on a road trip. The veteran was a part of the Australian squad that won the 2003 World Cup, beating India, led by Sourav Ganguly, in the final at the Wanderers in Johannesburg.

Mohammad Kaif, the former Indian cricketer, lauded Ashok Dinda on a wonderful career. Dinda was a stalwart of Bengal cricket and was their top wicket-taker in several seasons. The veteran also played for India though his career in national colours could never flourish. He also played quite a few seasons in the IPL.

South Africa’s recent tour of Australia was called off after Cricket Australia (CA) pulled out, citing concerns over the coronavirus pandemic. Thereafter, former England captain Michael Vaughan expressed his displeasure over the matter.

Ajinkya Rahane, the Indian Test vice-captain, was happy to be back in the nets ahead of the Test series against England. Rahane garnered a lot of praises for leading India to victory against the Aussies and a lot is expected of him this time as well.

Rahane also scored a century in the second Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Lisa Sthalekar and Alan Wilkins wished Danny Morrison on his birthday. Siddarth Kaul is mightily pleased after playing for the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL.
