The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of events. The opening T20I between Australia and India took place at the Manuka Oval in Canberra. After electing to field first, the home team, led by Aaron Finch, restricted the visitors to 161 for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs. After a stutter in the middle, the Men in Blue came back through Ravindra Jadeja’s unbeaten 44 runs off 23 balls with the help of five fours and four sixes. From 92 for five in the 14th over, Team India got themselves up to a competitive score.
Jadeja was later ruled out of the game after he showed signs of concussion. Yuzvendra Chahal was roped in as his concussion replacement. Meanwhile, Chahal posted a picture with Shreyas Iyer where the duo was seen enjoying their heart out in Canberra. Iyer didn’t get to play the first T20I. Hardik Pandya had a great day and he uploaded a picture where Indian captain Virat Kohli was also present.
Smriti Mandhana, the Indian women’s cricketer, was happy after celebrating her father’s birthday. David Warner had a happy day with his wife Candice and their daughters. Harmanpreet Kaur posted a stylish picture of her on Instagram. Aakash Chopra wished Ajit Agarkar on birthday. Dhawal Kulkarni was over the moon after returning to bowl.

Australia are getting a lot right in white ball cricket but an area that needs particular attention is their death overs. Without nailing this department you’re always vulnerable. #AUSvIND #T20 #deathovers
