The cricketing trends on the social media revolved around a number of events, including the 12th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The T20 extravaganza was a witness to the match between the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the PCA Stadium in Mohali. After Punjab won the toss and elected to field first, they restricted SRH to a modest score of 150 runs in heir 20 overs.

Though David Warner scored a gutsy 70 runs from 62 deliveries, the likes of Ankit Rajpoot, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Ravi Ashwin, Sam Curran and Mohammed Shami didn’t give much for the batsmen to work with and put a lid on the run-scoring for a chunk of the SRH innings. Manoj Tiwary, who went unsold in this year’s auction, also lauded the Kings bowlers for not allowing the Sunrisers batsmen to get away.

Ravi Ashwin ran Mohammad Nabi at the non-striker’s end and Sanjay Manjrekar mentioned that the KXIP captain didn’t ‘Mankad’ the Afghanistan batsman. Meanwhile, former India cricketers Harbhajan Singh and RP Singh wished popular presenter Jatin Sapru on his birthday.

Prithvi Shaw of the Delhi Capitals (DC) posted a picture of his with a motivational quote. Amit Mishra shared a picture with Shaw where they were in the flight on their way to Kolkata where the Capitals would be playing their next match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Eden Gardens.
