The cricketing trends on Monday revolved around various different topics but it was Yuvraj Singh who grabbed all the limelight. The all-rounder announced his retirement from international cricket as well as the IPL during a media interaction in Mumbai. Thus, the cricketing fraternity including the likes of Shoaib Malik, Irfan Pathan, Ajinkya Rahane, Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli amongst many others took it Twitter to congratulate the legend on a wonderful career.
Shikhar Dhawan and Jason Roy rejoiced their respective team’s recent win in the World Cup 2019. Both of them seemed to be excited about the next game in the tournament. Meanwhile, there were some talks about the game between South Africa and Windies as well. The game was washed out due to rain. Former Pakistan skipper Shoaib Akhtar tweeted the nursery poem: ‘Rain, rain go away’. RP Singh said that the South African openers needed to perform collectively if the team had to win.
Mohammad Hafeez and Russel Arnold spent some valuable time with their respective families. Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly shared a picture with VVS Laxman and Virender Sehwag during their stint at the commentary box. Rahul Sharma wished Mika Singh on his birthday.
