The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of events. Most of the talks were regarding the final of the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The iconic match was placed between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. In the game, the Capitals won the toss and elected to bat and put up a competitive score of 156 for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs. DC got off to a jittery start, but then some late flurry of fours got them up to the decent total.

Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant were the stars of the show for the team. Even as Iyer stayed unbeaten on 65 runs off 50 balls, Pant notched his maiden fifty, arresting his slump. In the meantime, Pakistan beat Zimbabwe by eight wickets in the third and final T20I to pocket the series 3-0. It was another thumping performance from the Men in Green, who chased the target down with 28 balls to spare.

Salman Butt was happy after leg-spin bowler Usman Qadir picked up four crucial wickets, conceding only 13 runs in his four overs. Babar Azam was a happy man after guiding his team to glory. Sikandar Raza was emotional after Elton Chigumbura played his last match for Zimbabwe.
