It may not have been an eventful day in International cricket because there were no major games apart from the ODI between UAE and Ireland, but it was an interesting one for the Big Bash League (BBL) and domestic cricket in India. What dominated the social media trends today was the former, some wishes for Indian cricket’s Wall, Rahul Dravid and some light banter between players.

AB de Villiers took to social media to convey his thanks for being voted the Multiply Titans Player of the Month. Saqlain Mushtaq of Pakistan decided to do a little throwback to convey birthday wishes to Rahul Dravid. Harbhajan Singh wished singer and musician Mithoon a happy birthday with a special wish and conveying that he was waiting for him to release his song for the army. Englishman Liam Livingstone thanked his followers for the wishes for being getting his maiden-Test call up for the New Zealand Tour.

Murali Kartik congratulated Sanjay Manjrekar on the launch of his autobiography ‘Imperfect’ and expressed regrets for not being present there. Sachin Tendulkar shared pictures from his time at the cleanliness drive initiative by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for the Swachh Bharat campaign.

Lisa Sthalekar tweeted about the Sydney Thunders vs Perth Scorchers match, another close game at the BBL. She also tweeted a picture of Adam Gilchrist’s son saying that he was helping out with inside information on the Scorchers’ players. Subramaniam Badrinath did a Throwback Thursday of his debut test against South Africa in 2010.

Dean Jones posed a question for fans to retrospect how badly their loss in Perth against the Scorchers have hurt the Melbourne Renegades chances, after losing Aaron Finch and Cameron White to national duty. David Warner welcomed back Usman Khawaja after he scored 86 against the Perth Scorchers, handing the Sydney Thunder victory.

Faf du Plessis was seen shopping at the PUMA store and an interesting comment by former Proteas team-mate David Wiese made this fun as he said, “I’m surprised there is still stock left after Tabraiz Shamsi was there!!” Stuart Broad showed off his photography skills with a stunning beach photo of a beach in Australia. Wayne Parnell shares a picture with Kagiso Rabada with some special words. Brendon McCullum calls for the completion of the Bash Brothers Trio.
