The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of events. Most of the talks were regarding India’s third Test against Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground. On the last day at the SCG, India lost only two wickets. Cheteshwar Pujara and Rishabh Pant impressed with half-centuries. Both also shared a 148-run partnership for the fourth wicket, taking India out of jail.

But in the end, it was Hanuma Vihari and Ravi Ashwin, who put on an unbeaten stand of 62 runs for the sixth wicket to secure a draw for Team India. The fourth and final Test would get underway on January 15 at The Gabba in Brisbane. After the herculean efforts from India, the cricketing fraternity lauded them.

The netizens were also agitated with Steve Smith, who tried to ruffle Rishabh Pant. Smith tried to scuff up the batsman’s guard at the striker’s end. In the meantime, Brad Hogg, the former Aussie cricketer feels that fast bowler Wes Agar should get to play for Australia. Agar is currently playing for Adelaide Strikers in the BBL.
