The cricketing trends on social media was buzzing due to a lot of events. Massive injury news broke out as Shikhar Dhawan is suspected to have a hairline fracture on his thumb. Although there hasn’t been any official confirmation, the injury might keep him out for three weeks. He was the star for India in the game against Australia and the ‘Men in Blue’ have been dealt with a massive blow.

There have been a lot of speculations and former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen feels Rishabh Pant should be on the plane to England if Dhawan is ruled out. Former India cricketer also had a condolence message for the Delhi southpaw and wished him a speedy recovery.

Meanwhile, for the second consecutive day, rain played spoilsport as the game between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh was washout without a ball being bowled. The likes of Sourav Ganguly and Aakash Chopra tweeted about the same and were disappointed with rain dominating cricket. This was Sri Lanka’s second successive washout and it gave them another point. Their tally now is four points from as many games.

The cricketing world continued to wish Yuvraj Singh, who announced his retirement from international and IPL cricket yesterday. Yuvraj and Shoaib Akhtar were involved in a friendly conversation on Twitter as well. India women’s cricketer Smriti Mandhana also wrote a special message for the Punjab-born all-rounder.

Afghanistan superstar Rashid Khan also had a special message for Yuvraj and tweeted the same. The cricketing world also wished New Zealand fast bowler Mitchell McClenaghan on his birthday. He celebrated his 33rd birthday today and the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Harbhajan Singh, Rohit Sharma and others wished him on Twitter.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli shared a picture of him alongside Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag and captioned it, “Some pictures indeed are special.” Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah uploaded a picture with his other Indian teammates post a training session. Haryana High Court declared all animals as legal persons and Rohit Sharma promoted the move. He tweeted about it and expressed his happiness. He wanted such a move to be implemented all over India.
