The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of events. The three-match ODI series between India and Australia is scheduled to get underway on Tuesday, January 14. The opening game will be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Prior to the encounters, Virat Kohli, the Indian skipper, is focussing on his goals. Hardik Pandya trained with the national team and the Baroda all-rounder  was happy to be back in the scheme of things. Hardik has been dealing with a number of injury concerns over the time being.

Kamran Akmal, Pakistan’s veteran cricketer, turned 38 years old. He is currently out of contention for a spot in the national side, but he has been piling on runs at the domestic level. On the occasion of his birthday, a number of Pakistan cricketers wished him. The likes of Mohammad Hafeez, Wahab Riaz and many others lauded the wicketkeeper on the special day. Brad Hogg reckons that if Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan play in the same Indian lineup, then Rahul will have to bat at number three.

On Sunday, January 12, the BCCI Annual Awards function took place. It was attended by a number of colossal personalities. Vinod Kambli was over the moon after attending the show. Shivam Dube was happy after receiving an award from Rohit Sharma, the vice-captain of India’s limited-overs teams. Shane Warne has called for a five-match Test series between India and Australia. Rashid Khan posted a video where he can be seen, taking a well-judged catch.
