Cricketing Trends on Social Media Today

To plunge more misery on Assam amid the coronavirus pandemic, devastating floods have affected more than 21 lakh people in 27 districts of the state. Along with disrupting human lives, the calamity hasn’t spared even animals as the situation in Kaziranga National Part is also worrying. A total of 44,000 people have been evacuated and shifted to 500 shelter homes.

India Test vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane, like many other cricketers, rued the situation in Assam and offered prayers who have been affected due to the calamity. He even hoped for their quick recovery. Rahane was roped in by Delhi Capitals from Rajasthan Royals ahead of IPL 2020. However, the much-awaited tournament, in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic, was postponed indefinitely.

Meanwhile, Pandya brothers, while spending time home amid COVID-19 outbreak, have been sharing many photos and videos. Be it workout videos and stills with family members, Hardik and Krunal have been quite active on social media amid the pandemic.

Krunal, while playing with his pet dogs, shared an adorable video where he can be seen feeding them. Recently, Hardik had also shared a video where he was seen working out at home to keep himself fit for the resumption of international cricket.

Australia’s premier domestic T20 competition– Big Bash League (BBL) — also announced that it will begin from December 3, with the final being played on February next year. Notably, the tournament is set to clash with the much-awaited India-Australia series.

Wishes also poured in for David Hussey, who celebrated his 43rd birthday. The right-hander, after breaking into the national side in 2008, donned the Australian jersey in 69 ODIs and 39 T20Is.
