Here's how the cricketers spent their day on Twitter and Instagram today.

The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of events. The second day of the opening Test between India and Australia took place at the Adelaide Oval and the visiting team got a bit of an upper hand. After being bowled out for 244 in their first innings, India bowled the Aussies out for 191. For the hosts, Tim Paine scored an unbeaten 73, but he didn’t get much support from the others.

Ravi Ashwin was the standout bowler for India as he picked up four wickets. In the meantime, former Indian cricketer posted a meme, citing Australia’s expected scoring rate and their original scoring rate. Aakash Chopra was impressed with Wriddhiman Saha’s wicketkeeping prowess.

Sarfaraz Ahmed, the former Pakistan skipper, wished Imad Wasim, who celebrated his 32nd birthday. Wasim is currently in New Zealand where he is taking part in the T20I series against the Black Caps. In the first game of the series, the visitors lost by five wickets at the Eden Park in Auckland.

Mandeep Singh, the Punjab batsman also celebrated his birthday and on the auspicious occasion, he was showered with wishes. In the meantime, the Sri Lankan cricketers are in their way to South Africa. Danushka Gunathilaka was happy after playing in the 2020 LPL.
