The cricketing trends on social media today revolved around the post-auction fever as the players expressed their elation on being picked in the IPL. The auction for the 12th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) took place in Jaipur on Tuesday and a total of 60 players were sold in the event out of 351 players who were supposed to go under the hammer.

One of the much-discussed buys on the day was Yuvraj Singh. His services were secured by the Mumbai Indians at his base price of Rs 1 Crore. Rohit Sharma had a special message for his friend and former India team-mate and welcomed him to the city of heroics. Jonathan Trott, on the other hand, was delighted to see some of England cricketers being sought in the IPL as well and felt it would be a life-changing moment for them.

As far as international cricket is concerned, Sri Lanka managed to earn a famous draw in the first Test against New Zealand at the Basin Reserve in Wellington. Angelo Mathews and Kusal Mendis slammed centuries in the second innings to play out the entire fourth day of the Test after their team was reeling at 13/3. Dinesh Chandimal was all praise about the duo and hoped that the others also stand up with them in the second and final game of the series which is a Boxing Day Test.
