Cricketing Trends on Social Media today

Here is how the cricketers spent their day on Twitter and Instagram today.

The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of events. Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan spent some quality with his wife Umme Ahmed Shishir and daughter Alaina. The southpaw has been rested for the Tigers’ upcoming ODI series against Sri Lanka, starting next week. Renowned cricket journalist Harsha Bhogle turned 58 and he was showered with wishes from the cricketing fraternity.

The likes of Sachin Tendulkar and Suryakumar Yadav wished the popular figure on the auspicious occasion. In the meantime, Indian sprinter Hima Das won her fourth Gold Medal in 15 days she was lauded from every nook and corner of the country. Moreover, she also promised to donate half of her salary for the Assam Flood victims. She hails from Assam and has been an absolute revelation of late.


Sachin Tendulkar was inducted into ICC’s Hall of Fame and a number of former and current cricketers wished the Master Blaster for yet another achievement in his illustrious cricket career. Pakistan wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal posted a video where he can be seen working his heart out in the gymnasium. Shane Warne is all set to pick the Australia and English playing XI for the first Ashes Test, starting next month.

Indian Test specialist Ravi Ashwin, who’s currently in England, playing county cricket, was heartbroken after the ICC suspended Zimbabwe Cricket for political interference in its administration. Indian skipper Virat Kohli reckons there’s no substitute for hard work.

Former Pakistan pacer Waqar Younis reminisced a moment along with Tendulkar and was privileged after sharing the commentary box with him.  After a gruelling 2019 World Cup, Jasprit Bumrah is busy holidaying as well.
