The cricketing trends on social media were lurking around India’s final phase of Lok Sabha voting. With polling coming to a close in some areas today, the election process is officially done and the results will be out on May 23rd to decide who takes the Throne for the next 5 years. Some prominent names in Indian cricket were out there in polling booths to get inked and also urged all of their followers on social media to go and vote.
The World Cup is inching close to commencement and it was announced yesterday that India’s Kedar Jadhav is fit and available for selection. It comes as a huge bonus for the Indian side, who are expected to travel to the home of cricket on 22nd this month. They will be playing the first warm-up match against New Zealand on 25th, followed by a fixture against Bangladesh on 28th. India will play their first group stage game against South Africa on 5th June.
England and Pakistan are currently playing their final ODI game before the World Cup Warm-up fixtures begin. The sides will be keen to end the fifth ODI on a positive note and enter the coveted tournament with some confidence. Pakistan have struggled profusely with the ball and in the field, which is one of the major reasons why they find themselves in such a bad position. The only positive for them heading into the tournament is the form of their batsmen, which has been terrific.
