The cricketing trends on social media today revolved around various events including the birthday of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan who turned 53. Many of the Indian cricketers wished him on the special occasion. The flamboyant actor owns the Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and clearly has good relations with most of the players on the 22 yards. Almost all of them took to the social media calling the birthday boy an inspiration for many.

The Indian team today left for Kolkata ahead of the first of the three-match T20I series against Windies. After a decently competed ODI series, the Caribbean side will be definitely looking forward to winning it after being thumped in the Tests and ODIs so far on the tour. Krunal Pandya was excited ahead of the series as he might make his international debut at the iconic Eden Gardens. Even Shreyas Iyer is in the squad and he would also be eager to prove a point.

Meanwhile, Pakistan will be locking horns against New Zealand in the second T20I in Dubai. The game is a must-win affair for the Kiwis after losing the series opener by just a couple of runs. Ramiz Raja was excited for the contest to begin and felt that the Men in Green have to put up a better show with the bat as the visitors have come better prepared compared to the Aussies and have the ability to give a run for their money.
