The cricketing trends on social media were not restricted to any single topic as there were a lot of things which kept the fraternity talking in full volume. Mumbai registered a scintillating win in the final of the Vijay Hazare Trophy and won the trophy for the 3rd time in their history.

A lot of former cricketers and current Mumbai cricketers were in full swing celebrating this triumph. The 41-time Ranji champions remained unbeaten till the end and stamped their authority on the domestic circuit yet again just before the commencement of the iconic Ranji Trophy’s 2018/19 edition.

One of the greatest openers the game has witnessed, Virender Sehwag was celebrating his 40th birthday on Saturday and good wishes were pouring from all parts of the world. From his idol Sachin Tendulkar to young sensation KL Rahul, everyone took to Twitter and sent their best wishes.

A tragedy that occurred in Amritsar managed to shake the entire Asian community. The locals in the city were watching the Raavan effigy being burnt, which is a ritual that takes place across the country during Navratri.

Many people who were recording the effigy being burnt from the railway tracks nearby failed to notice the Jalandhar-Amritsar DMU coming towards them and over 60 people lost their lives in this mishap. Pakistan’s Prime Minister and former cricketer Imran Khan expressed his grief alongside the Indian skipper Virat Kohli.
