The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of events. Today, India lost the first game of the two-match Test series against New Zealand by 10 wickets. In the second innings Virat Kohli and Co got dismissed after scoring 191 runs and the hosts’ needed only nine runs to win. The BlackCaps chased the target without a loss on Day-4 of the 1st Test.
Tim Southee was awarded Man of the Match for nine wickets in the game. Later on, Virat Kohli attended the post-match press conference in which he looked quite optimistic. The way Kohli spoke impressed Suryakumar Yadav, who shared a post over the same on social media.
Meanwhile, Mushfiqur Rahim scored his third double century in Test cricket. He also became all-time leading run-scorer for Bangladesh in Test cricket. He played a marathon knock of 203* runs studded with 28 boundaries. He also shared a still along with his willow for the fans.
On the other hand, Australia registered an astounding victory against Sri Lanka Women in the ongoing T20 Women World Cup. And, former England skipper Michael Vaughan looked pretty impressed with their performances and predicted that they might lift the World title at the end of the tournament. Manoj Tiwary, the Indian cricketer also came out with a clip in which he can be spotted working out hard in the gym.
