The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of events. The Sri Lankan team has reached Pakistan to play the three-match ODI and three-match T20I series in Lahore and Karachi. After the players reached, the Pakistan cricketers, including the likes of Wahab Riaz, welcomed the visitors. Earlier 10 of the Lankan players had backed from travelling to the war-stricken nation, out citing security concerns and the SLC had to name depleted squads, led by Lahiru Thirimanne and Dasun Shanaka.

North Pakistan has been rocked by a major earthquake of 5.8 magnitude. At least 19 were killed and 300 were injured in the unfortunate occurring. Tremors were also went in Punjab’s Chandigarh, Delhi NCR, Haryana and Dehradun. Shahid Afridi and many others called for help. On the very day back in 2007, India won the inaugural edition of the T20 World Cup in South Africa. The team, led by MS Dhoni, beat Pakistan at the iconic Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg in a final, which went down to the last over.
