The cricketing trends on Wednesday didn’t confine to one or two major topics. The trends on the day revolved around several different topics. Shardul Thakur and Prithvi Shaw hit the gym and shared pictures from their workout session. Indian woman cricketer Smriti Mandhana came up with two special tweets on the day. While she wished the legendary Sachin Tendulkar in one of the tweets, she shared a picture after casting her vote in the other.

Tino Best and Bhuvneshwar Kumar were amongst the other cricketers who wished the ‘Master Blaster‘ on his birthday. The other trends revolved around the Sri Lankan terror attacks. Nick Compton put up an Instagram post urging the followers to help the victims. Alviro Petersen also put up a tweet for the nation.

On the occasion of Guru Teg Bahadur’s Parkash Purab, Kapil Dev met Bishan Singh Bedi and gifted him a book. Shane Watson, on the other hand, shared a video of him enjoying some joyous moments with his son after the match-winning 96 against the Sunrisers Hyderabad.

SRI LANKAN PRINTS FOR SALE – £400 per PRINT AND ALL PROCEEDS WILL GO TO THE @pennyappeal . . THE PENNY APPEAL ARE PROVIDING SUPPORT TO THE MANY COMMUNITIES THAT HAVE BEEN HARMED BY SUCH TERROR ACTS. . . I was fortunate to spend time in Sri Lanka recently playing first class cricket and traveling up and down this magnificent country. . . . . . The recent terror attacks have really shocked me and of course many of the friends and people I came close to during my time living in Sri Lanka. . . . They have had their world turned upside down and to think I was staying in one of those hotels not long ago, is scary. . . . Today I want to send support to the @pennyappeal by selling these limited edition prints that I took in Sri Lanka, the proceeds will help those communities who’ve had their lives ripped apart. . . The penny appeal have reported: Eight locations were attacked this weekend, including the Shangri-La hotel and the Siyon Church, which is close to our existing health and hygiene projects in Batticalo. In that attack alone, 30 people died and 120 more were injured. . . The total death toll from the Easter Bombings is at 290 and counting, and 500 people have been injured. . . These terrorist attacks are the deadliest violence Sri Lanka has experienced since the end of the country’s civil war in 2009. Many of those affected are shocked to see such violence; they had hoped that Sri Lanka had left all of that behind. . . Penny Appeal’s teams on the ground are attempting to access the areas worst hit, to understand the scale of the tragedy. We hope to support those affected with medical supplies, food and in whatever way we can. . . . You can support the victims and their families in the aftermath of these terrible attacks but buying one of my Sri Lankan prints. . . . I will be selling the large prints for £400 pounds – giclee fine art printing on archival paper. . . . The money will help donate emergency medical supplies and food to many families in Colombo. . . . We pray for peace and stand in solidarity with the innocent victims of these senseless attacks. . . #prayforsrilanka #srilanka #terroristattack #support #community
