The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of events. Pakistan domestic stalwart was over the moon after Shahid Afridi invited him for dinner at his place. Laurie Evans had a gala time with Chris Lynn and Jordan Clark after the completion of the T10 League at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. While Clark and Evans were a part of the Qalandars, Lynn plied his trade for the Maratha Arabians, who won the championship, beating Shane Watson’s Deccan Gladiators in the Final.

Samit Patel, who also represented the Dawid Malan-led Qalandars, understood that his team didn’t win the trophy, but played reasonably well. Mitchell McClenaghan, earlier this year, won the Indian Premier League (IPL) with the Mumbai Indians and now he lifted the trophy in the Arabians. He was delighted and is now wondering the next winning team he will feature for. Wriddhiman Saha and Aakash Chopra wished the legendary Jhulan Goswami, who celebrated her 37th birthday on Monday.

Suresh Raina and Shikhar Dhawan posted videos where they were seen working hard to get themselves back in shape. Ravi Shastri, the Indian head coach, appreciated the pace trio of Ishant Sharma, Mohammed Shami and Umesh Yadav. The fast bowlers picked up 19 wickets in the Day-Night at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata and helped the hosts win by an innings and 46 runs. England pacer Jofra Archer was a tad unhappy when he encountered racial insults while he was batting against New Zealand.
