The cricketing trends on the social media revolved around a number of events. Swapna Barman won gold for India in the women’s heptathlon event of the 2018 Asian Games and former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag wished her for the achievement. India ‘B’ defeated Australia ‘A’ in the final of the quadrangular series and fast-bowler Siddarth Kaul was delighted after his team’s resounding victory.
Sachin Tendulkar lauded former Indian tennis player Vijay Amritraj on National Sports Day. Ajinkya Rahane, who is currently in England for India’s Test series, expressed his gratitude to the sportsperson who have inspired him. Jonny Bairstow can’t wait to play the fourth Test at The Ageas Bowl in Southampton. Colin Ingram thanked Glamorgan for his stint with the county.
Karim Sadiq wished Mohammad Nabi, who played his 100th ODI for Afghanistan against Ireland today. David Willey is looking forward to Yorkshire’s upcoming county championship match against Somerset. Indian Leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal uploaded a picture along with Vijay Shankar. Aakash Chopra reckons England leaving out Chris Woakes for the Southampton Test is an interesting choice.
