The latest cricketing trends on social media brought the cricketers much closer to their fans today just the way it happens every day. Gautam Gambhir denied calling Steve Smith as a cheat after being caught in the ball-tampering scandal. He voiced his support for the Aussie captain and felt that the ban on him was too harsh. Steve Smith’s press conference in the morning resonated with Rohit Sharma as he too came out in support of the cricketer but believed that the spirit of the game was of utmost importance.

Tom Moody was excited to work with Kane Williamson who was appointed as the skipper of the Sunrisers Hyderabad side for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Hashim Amla was preparing for the last Test match with Morne Morkel who has announced his retirement from all the formats of the game. Jasprit Bumrah tweeted in support of Smith indirectly which won the hearts of the many cricket fans and also applauded the cricketer for his gesture.

Kevin Pietersen believed that it will be tough for the other players in the team to perform if they knew about the incident and it will be difficult for them to continue. RP Singh wished all his friends and followers a very happy Mahavir Jayanti on Thursday. Amit Mishra enjoyed his shooting day with the cute little fan of Delhi Daredevils. Mitchell Johnson felt bad for Cameron Bancroft and Smith who were absolutely gutted while talking to the media after their arrival back home.
